The first pictures of the new movie "Speed Racer" are out! This is NOT a cartoon but a live action movie.
It looks campy and quite cute, just like the old cartoons. Emile Hirsch is cast in the title role of Speed, Christina Ricci as Trixie, Matthew Fox as Racer X and, yes, a live monkey as Chim Chim and is directed by the Wachowski brothers, who brought us "The Matrix" trilogy.
